For some sitting in meditation is challenging. Yoga Nidra, works by lifting you to brainwave states similar to those in sleep, where the biology of the body makes it easier to disengage from thoughts. Allowing for the experience of observing thoughts instead of identify with them.
In an effortless state of deep relaxation, the mind "lets go" providing the body the space to heal itself of both physical and emotional pain.
